The Digital Signage Loop Manager lets you control what content displays on your in-store digital signs. You can add marketing slides, show the live buy queue, schedule seasonal promotions, and set content to expire automatically.

## Interface Overview

| Area | Purpose |
|------|---------|
| **Action Buttons** | Add slides, refresh the TV loop, or preview in browser |
| **Total Loop Time** | Shows the combined duration of all slides in your loop |
| **Timeline** | Visual list of slides in playback order with drag-and-drop reordering |
| **Slide Cards** | Individual slides with thumbnail, duration slider, and delete option |

## How to Add a Slide to Your Loop

1. Click the `Add Slide to Loop` button at the top of the page

2. Select a slide from the dropdown menu. Slides are organized into categories:
   - **Special Slides** - Buy Queue (shows live customer wait list)
   - **Store Slides** - Your uploaded store-specific images and videos
   - **Hipbone Marketing Slides** - Pre-made promotional content
   - **Franchise Slides** - Corporate/brand-wide marketing materials

3. Use the **Duration** slider to set how long the slide displays (10-60 seconds)

4. Choose your activation settings:
   - **Activate Now** (default) - Slide appears immediately in the loop
   - **Schedule for Later** - Set a date range for when the slide should display

5. Click `Save changes` to add the slide to your loop

> **Tip:** Use the `View Slide Gallery` button to browse all available slides with visual previews before selecting.

## Using the Slide Gallery

The Slide Gallery provides a visual way to browse and select slides:

- Click any thumbnail to select that slide
- Use the magnifying glass icon to preview the full-size image
- Video slides are marked with a note about hardware requirements

## Scheduling Slides for Future Display

Perfect for seasonal promotions, holiday sales, or time-limited campaigns:

1. In the Add Slide dialog, toggle off `Activate Now`
2. The **Run Dates** picker appears

3. Select your start date and end date
4. Click `Save changes`

The slide will automatically:
- Appear in your loop on the start date
- Remove itself from the loop on the end date

> **Tip:** Scheduled slides appear grayed out in your timeline until they become active.

## Setting an Expiration Date

For slides you want to activate immediately but remove automatically:

1. Keep `Activate Now` toggled on
2. Toggle on `Set Expire Date`

3. Select the date when the slide should be removed
4. Click `Save changes`

## Managing Your Loop

### Reorder Slides

Drag and drop slides in the timeline to change their playback order. Click and hold the colored icon (red for images, green for videos, gray for queue) and drag to the new position.

### Adjust Duration

Use the slider on any slide card to change how long it displays. Changes are saved automatically.

### Delete a Slide

Click the red `Delete` button on any slide card to remove it from the loop.

### Refresh the TV Loop

After making changes, click `Refresh the TV Loop` to push your updates to the in-store display immediately.

## Viewing Your Loop

### Preview in Browser

Click `View Loop In Browser` to see exactly how your loop will appear on the digital sign:

Use the `Click to view the loop` button at the bottom of the page for a quick preview.

## Slide Types

| Type | Icon | Description |
|------|------|-------------|
| **Image** | Red circle | Static promotional images (JPG, PNG, GIF) |
| **Video** | Green circle | Video content (MP4, WebM) - requires updated hardware |
| **Buy Queue** | Gray circle | Live feed of customers waiting in the queue |

> **Note:** Video slides require the latest Digital Sign Computer Hardware. Contact support to upgrade your device.

## Best Practices

1. **Keep it fresh** - Update slides regularly to keep customers engaged
2. **Balance the loop** - Mix promotional content with the Buy Queue for a dynamic display
3. **Use scheduling** - Plan seasonal content ahead of time
4. **Test your changes** - Always preview in browser after making updates
5. **Optimal duration** - 10-15 seconds per slide keeps content moving without rushing

## Troubleshooting

### Slides Not Updating on TV

1. Click `Refresh the TV Loop` button
2. Wait 30 seconds for the display to sync
3. If still not working, the Sync App may need to be restarted

### Scheduled Slide Not Appearing

- Check that the current date is within the scheduled date range
- Scheduled slides show as grayed out until their start date

### Video Not Playing

- Ensure your Digital Sign hardware supports video playback
- Contact support for hardware upgrade information
