# Store Settings & Configuration

**Category:** Admin Settings
**Audience:** Admin Users (Store Managers, Owners)
**Last Updated:** 2026-02-11

---

The Store Configuration page is your central hub for managing your store's operating details, wait time behavior, KPI display, replenishment tracking, and business hours. Changes made here affect how the store operates across BuyerKiosk -- from the customer-facing kiosk to the Workbook queue and reports.

## How to Access Store Configuration

1. Log in to BuyerKiosk with an admin account
2. In the left sidebar, click **Store Settings**
3. Click **Store Configuration**

The URL follows the pattern:

```
https://app.buyerkiosk.com/admin/{your-store-code}/store/configuration
```

For example, for store `pc00`:

```
https://app.buyerkiosk.com/admin/pc00/store/configuration
```

> **Note:** You must have the `uri_store_settings` permission to access this page. If you do not see Store Settings in the sidebar, contact your account administrator.

---

## Page Layout

The configuration page uses a sidebar navigation on the left with seven sections. Click any section name to jump directly to it:

| Section | What It Controls |
|---------|-----------------|
| **Store Info** | Store brand, address, phone, timezone, GPS coordinates |
| **Wait Time** | MPC (Minutes Per Customer) settings and wait time display |
| **KPI Settings** | Which KPIs appear in the Workbook KPI bar and their display options |
| **Replenishment** | Replenishment tracking thresholds and settings |
| **Default Hours** | Default opening and closing times for your store |
| **Daily Hours** | Day-by-day overrides for specific weekdays |
| **Holiday Hours** | Special hours for holidays and one-off dates |

Each section has its own `Save` button -- changes are saved per section, not all at once.

---

## Store Information

This section displays your store's brand and ID, and lets you update the address and contact details.

### Read-Only Fields

- **Store Brand** -- Your franchise brand (e.g., Plato's Closet, Once Upon a Child). This is set at the system level and cannot be changed here.
- **Store ID** -- Your unique store code (e.g., `pc00`). This is permanent and cannot be changed.

### Editable Fields

| Field | Description | Example |
|-------|-------------|---------|
| `Street Address` | Your store's street address | 8100 W. Main St. |
| `City` | City name | Anna |
| `State` | Two-letter state abbreviation | TX |
| `ZIP Code` | Postal code (up to 10 characters) | 75409 |
| `Phone Number` | Store contact phone number | (555) 123-4567 |
| `Timezone` | Your store's local timezone | Central (CT) |
| `Latitude` | GPS latitude coordinate | 33.021526 |
| `Longitude` | GPS longitude coordinate | -96.830628 |

> **Tip:** Setting the latitude and longitude enables location-based features like the team clock-in geofence and map displays.

After editing, click `Save Store Information` to apply changes.

## Wait Time Settings

This section controls how wait times are calculated and displayed to customers and staff in the Workbook queue.

### Minutes Per Customer (MPC)

MPC is the core unit BuyerKiosk uses to estimate customer wait times. The current MPC value is displayed at the top of this section.

Three toggles control MPC behavior:

| Toggle | What It Does |
|--------|-------------|
| **Enable Wait Time Display** | When ON, estimated wait times are shown on the customer-facing kiosk and queue displays. When OFF, wait times are hidden from customers. |
| **Lock MPC** | When ON, staff cannot change the MPC value from the Workbook queue. The MPC buttons are replaced with a locked indicator showing the current value. |
| **Allow Custom MPC** | When ON, staff can enter any MPC value between 1 and 60 minutes. The lowest preset button is replaced with a custom input field. |

> **Note:** Lock MPC and Allow Custom MPC are mutually exclusive. Enabling one will automatically disable the other.

### Clock Color Thresholds

These settings control when the wait time clock changes color in the queue display:

| Threshold | Default | Meaning |
|-----------|---------|---------|
| **Yellow Warning** | 15 minutes | Clock turns yellow when a customer's wait exceeds this |
| **Red Alert** | 30 minutes | Clock turns red when a customer's wait exceeds this |

The yellow threshold must be less than the red threshold. Click `Save Wait Time Settings` when done.

---

## KPI Settings

This section controls which Key Performance Indicators appear in the KPI bar at the top of the Workbook view.

### Available KPIs

The KPI bar can display metrics like Sales, Buys, Average Transaction, Transactions, and more. For each KPI, you can:

- **Toggle Visible** -- Show or hide the KPI in the bar
- **Toggle Goal** -- Show or hide the daily goal indicator (available for Sales and Buys)
- **Toggle Comps** -- Show or hide year-over-year comparison data (available for Sales, Average Transaction, Transactions, and Buys)

### Reordering KPIs

Drag the grip handle on the left side of any KPI row to rearrange the display order. KPIs will appear in the Workbook KPI bar in the order shown here.

### Reset to Defaults

Click `Reset to Defaults` in the section header to restore all KPI settings to their original configuration. This will reload the page after resetting.

Click `Save KPI Settings` to apply your changes.

---

## Replenishment Settings

This section controls the floor replenishment tracking system, which helps you identify when product categories need restocking from backstock.

### Enable/Disable

Use the **Enable Replenishment Tracking** toggle to turn the feature on or off. When enabled, replenishment reports will be available from the Floor Plan Reports page.

### Score Thresholds

Replenishment uses a scoring system to flag categories that need attention. Configure the four threshold levels:

| Level | Default | Meaning |
|-------|---------|---------|
| **Adequate** | 5 | Category is well-stocked |
| **Monitor** | 10 | Category should be watched |
| **Urgent** | 15 | Category needs attention soon |
| **Critical** | 20 | Category requires immediate restocking |

Thresholds must be in ascending order (Adequate < Monitor < Urgent < Critical).

### Additional Settings

| Setting | Default | Description |
|---------|---------|-------------|
| `Bins Per Trip (Offsite)` | 10 | Used for estimated trip calculations in the offsite report |
| `Default Window (Days)` | 7 | Rolling window for categories without replenishment history |

### Danger Zone: Reset All Tracking

The **Reset All Replenishment Tracking** button resets scoring data for all categories. Use this after a major restocking event that happened outside the tracked workflow (for example, during a seasonal reset).

> **Warning:** This action cannot be undone. A confirmation dialog will appear before the reset executes.

## Default Store Hours

Set your standard opening and closing times here. These times apply to every day of the week unless overridden in the Daily Hours or Holiday Hours sections below.

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| `Opening Time` | When your store opens (24-hour time picker) |
| `Closing Time` | When your store closes (24-hour time picker) |

Click `Copy to All Days` to apply the default hours to every day in the Daily Hours table below.

---

## Daily Hours

Override the default hours for specific days of the week. The table shows each day (Sunday through Saturday) with:

| Column | Description |
|--------|-------------|
| **Day** | Day of the week |
| **Open Time** | Override opening time for this day |
| **Close Time** | Override closing time for this day |
| **Closed** | Check this box if the store is closed on this day |
| **Status** | Shows whether the day uses default hours or has a custom override |

Days using the default hours will display "Default" in the Status column. Days with overrides will show "Custom."

---

## Holiday Hours

Add special hours for holidays or one-off dates. Holiday hours override both default hours and daily hours for the specified date.

### Adding a Holiday

1. Click `Add Holiday` in the section header
2. In the modal that appears:
   - Select the **Date**
   - Enter an optional **Holiday Name** (e.g., "Christmas Day")
   - Toggle **Store Closed** if the store will not be open
   - If the store is open, set the **Opening Time** and **Closing Time**
3. Click `Save Holiday`

### Editing or Removing Holidays

Each holiday in the table has action buttons in the right column to edit or delete the entry. Holidays that have passed are still listed for record-keeping but can be removed.

---

## Saving Your Changes

Each section has its own save button. After saving, a green toast notification will appear at the bottom right confirming the change. If there is a validation error (such as the yellow threshold exceeding the red threshold), a red toast notification will describe the issue.

The bottom of the page shows a `Last Updated` timestamp and provides:

- `Reset Changes` -- Undo unsaved changes in the hours sections
- `Save Settings` -- Save any pending changes to the hours sections (Default Hours, Daily Hours, and Holiday Hours are saved together)

---

## Troubleshooting

### My wait time settings are not reflected in the Workbook
- Confirm you clicked `Save Wait Time Settings` after making changes
- Refresh the Workbook page -- wait time settings are loaded on page load
- Check that the `Enable Wait Time Display` toggle is turned ON

### KPI changes do not appear in the Workbook
- Confirm you clicked `Save KPI Settings`
- Refresh the Workbook page to pick up the new configuration
- If you reset to defaults, the page will automatically reload
