# Audit Log

The audit log records important actions in the QuickBooks integration. Use it when you need to know what changed, when it changed, and who or what made the change.

## When to Use the Audit Log

Use the audit log to answer questions such as:

- Who approved this entry?
- Who changed a mapping?
- When was QuickBooks disconnected?
- Did the system retry a failed post?
- What changed before a sync started failing?

The audit log is not the same as the sync log. The sync log focuses on posting attempts; the audit log focuses on actions and configuration history.
