## What the Integration Does

The integration turns a completed BuyerKiosk daily close into a QuickBooks journal entry. The journal entry summarizes the day instead of sending every individual sale or buy transaction.

The goal is to reduce manual data entry while keeping accounting review in place.

## End-to-End Flow

1. The store completes the daily close in BuyerKiosk.
2. BuyerKiosk reads the daily close totals.
3. Account mappings decide which QuickBooks accounts each total uses.
4. BuyerKiosk builds a balanced journal entry.
5. The entry is staged for approval or posted automatically, depending on settings.
6. The sync log records the result.
7. The audit log records important actions.
8. Reconciliation helps confirm BuyerKiosk and QuickBooks agree.

## Main Pages

| Page | Purpose |
| --- | --- |
| Dashboard | Shows connection health, pending work, and recent activity. |
| Account Mapping | Connects BuyerKiosk daily close fields to QuickBooks accounts. |
| Approval Queue | Lets owners review, edit, approve, reject, or void staged entries. |
| Sync Log | Shows posting attempts and errors. |
| Audit Log | Shows who changed settings, mappings, and entries. |
| Reconciliation | Compares BuyerKiosk close data with QuickBooks entries. |
| Settings | Controls sync mode, approval rules, and memo behavior. |

## Who Should Use It

Store owners and accountants should both be involved at setup:

- BuyerKiosk support can connect the store and explain the workflow.
- The owner can confirm operational expectations.
- The accountant should approve the chart of accounts and mapping choices.

## Recommended Rollout

1. Connect QuickBooks.
2. Configure mappings with the accountant's account names.
3. Use approval mode for the first few closes.
4. Review staged entries before posting.
5. Confirm posted entries in QuickBooks.
6. Use reconciliation to verify the first week.
7. Consider automatic posting only after the owner is comfortable with the results.

## What It Does Not Do

The integration does not:

- Replace the accountant.
- Decide the chart of accounts for the store.
- Reconcile bank deposits.
- Fix incorrect daily close data.
- Send every individual POS transaction to QuickBooks.

It moves daily totals into QuickBooks in a repeatable way, with logs and review tools around that process.
